I’m afraid I cannot embed that track, but hey it’s already free to download so I’m not complaining. Luckily there’s a bunch of other tracks by Dr Rubberfunk on Soundcloud, one of which is embedded below. I believe this track was produced for the Craig Charles Funk&Soul radio show on BBC. It’s Dr Rubberfunk’s take on his ideal band, featuring vocals by Nina Simone and music from the James Brown stable.

The free track sorely pointed out to me that it’s been a while since the good doctor has released any material, and it makes me wonder if a new album will be coming to us anytime soon. For the record, his most recent release (“Sunset Breakup” on Jalapeno) already dates back to 03-03-2008. I hope that there will be new material soon!
