You could get a newer card that will be supported in Win8 and will kick you old 9250's ass up one side and down the other for like $30. I'm sorry, but you'll have to do with the opensource driver you are already using. If you were able to get Aero working on Win7, you *should* be able to use the hardware drivers on Win8 as well, unless it was a WDDM1.0 card, in which Also for this card you dont need any power connected to it. There is an ATI Catalyst icon on the desktop, and clicking on it reveals that the graphics driver is indeed the Intel(R) driver.
