Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The problem usually occurs from somthing as simply as bringing up the start menu, opening up a file, or firing a weapon in a game. The 9800pro requires a decent power supply to get going but should only be a problem when you start a 3d prog. So it seams that it is not an hardware probeme, but perhaps software demanding too much of the card....
When I did that and rebooted, no more random stuff flying around!
