I use the drivers ONLY on the CD or downloaded from support.asus.com and everything is so stable ! At the last stage, completing installation, the screen blinked a couple of time, and then the screen went black.

Had some problems months before, though. Most of the times, Vista RC1 will take care of the drivers for the changed hardware components. 5) Good luck. and it works again, but when I entered CMOS, it freezees on ENTERING Setup still. I installed 6.86 a few times, and all hell of crashes and instability was all I got.

Pretty dissapointing. This computer worked fine with 5536.   sry for double post. Just follow the same procedure to remove all drivers before installing more drivers. After this, i rebooted normally and the 6800 gs worked fine, but the Radeon was out to lunch. http://mffonline.com/black-screen/black-screen-after-installing-new-psu-vid-card.php It seems the install procedure was not finished.

It had things like 6800 gt, or just plain 6800, i ended up trying 6800 series gpu.By doing that i once again had the same problem as before. So it's possible the Facebook Google+ Twitter YouTube Subscribe to TechSpot RSS Get our weekly newsletter Search TechSpot Trending Hardware The Web Culture Mobile Gaming Apple Microsoft Google Reviews Graphics Laptops Smartphones CPUs Storage Cases

Thereafter, installation of every single driver failed. I am pretty sure that black screen is problem of DVI connection (I have 2 monitors) but it appears on some certain stage - like before Vista shows UI.
