Thanks everyone, George Austin EDIT: Hitachi Drive Fitness Test and Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostic have found absolutely nothing wrong with either drive after full media tests, so I'm definitely focusing There's just so many things you could tweak to find the right balance for stability. Regarding the disk, a disk check should tell you if it is still okay. I can cntl/alt/del and the task manager pops up and i can run some programs but most of them have errors and wont start.
