Core 2 Duo Strange Benchmark Result
What will the benchmark be if I run CS3 on the Macbook Pro then?? sorry Mar 19, 2007 #9 SNGX1275 TS Forces Special Posts: 10,715 +397 Hmm, I googled, and didn't find anything for that resolution rather than projectors, and some airline displays. Hopefully, that gives PowerPC-based laptop owners some frame of reference when it comes to gauging how much of an improvement a Core 2 Duo-based portable offers. Photoshop’s memory was set to 70 percent and History was set to Minimum. news

If you don't, does it make a > > difference if you do? Here the effect does not show up. I'm also not worried about credit, since it's based on actual results. Compared to AMD's Athlon 64 X2 the situation gets a lot more competitive, but AMD still doesn't stand a chance.

Maybe it's just that the Intel Core 2 Duo is better at running code in Rosetta, what do I know? N-Queens: ARM still wins here, but remember this was a strange benchmark that did not actually compile on my notebook.
Re: Science Beats Fanboism or.. I would still be puzzled by the CPU benchmark, although you're using the wrong program to do a CPU benchmark.... Can someone else run the action on their Macbook Pros and their Mac Pros and report your speeds? https://t.co/Pg5oDrJRw7 half way down IanCutress: @AfterPad It's not - it's a news item relating to a release.
This is OK since cores have separate integer units (but not necessarily FP units). I don't know why this happened, but I fixed it by doing integer benchmarks only on CPU zero. Intel though, against AMD it was just as damning. I thought I'd run the same test.

No running out trying to optimize every single library with some magical "hardfp" branch and trying to perform brain surgery with exotic GCC options for every test. 3.
I'm coping alot of crap from my mate, and I dont have any explanation! So I downloaded the "mid=27:Scroll" Photoshop action from www.panosfx.com, which is a free download. So I got my Mac Pro earlier this week. it most certainly should be substantially faster than a single core Atom at the very minimum. The 3.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 CPU is a dual-core chip based on the 45nm 'Wolfdale' core that falls into the upper end of family, supplanted only by the relatively http://mffonline.com/core-2/core-2-duo-or-core-2-quad.php The only thing that really matters is the performance in-game.

P.S. --> While I was running these benchmarks, I was also SSHing in to the laptop to collect data and I even took a screenshot (below). The Core 2 Extreme X6800, Core 2 Duo E6700 and E6600 were pretty consistently in the top 3 or 4 spots in each benchmark, with the E6600 offering better performance than I mean, seriously. After all, if you’re mulling an upgrade to one of the new MacBook Pros, you really aren’t likely to be looking to replace a perfectly acceptable Core Duo model you bought I took the CMOS battery out of my computer, and also took the cpu out and then put them both back in (it appeared that the cpu fan wasnt secured firm Yes, in fact, running the same benchmark but re-opening the connection for every SELECT does make a difference.
