It just isnt cool. I was told it was due to a faulty motherboard sensor so I had it RMA'd, just received the new one and installed it and it's the exact same issue. But you should consider to buy a new cooler at least, because higher temps equals lower life span. The thermal paste may be wearing down. http://mffonline.com/cpu-temp/cpu-temp-extremely-high-need-some-help.php

Assuming that the readings are correct, I have no explanation for the typical 30 degree Celsius difference between the CPU and the heat-sink.Is it possible, that the CPU's have exceed their great post to read
Running my FX-8320 @ 4.0GHz stock voltage. Only time I've seen the power options have a big effect is in notebook/netbook devices. solved Is my CPU Temperature too high? (Q8400) solved CPU Core Temperatures Too High? So long as you see the fan spin, the fan is fine, but I'll repeat that the heatsink alone without a fan should be able to cool the CPU to well
I would try that "Sensor Test" in RealTemp. I knew something was wrong when I saw my temperature at boot was 70 celsius, and it was rising to 80 in about 20 seconds! During the stress test, it only increased up to 1220 though. Since I swapped my old one for the Corsair H50, http://www.corsair.com/cooling/hydro...pu-cooler.html I've never had another heat issue.
solved CPU High temperature solved CPU temperature is rising very high (With fan speed) why my cpu's temperature is running on -30 C and then suddenly -66 C solved CPU high Seems just a touch quieter also.Mostly temps become a problem when the ambient goes into the high 70s, 80s and 90s. If it has as much dust as your filter does, that could really affect the efficiency of the cooler. Cooler Master Hyper212 EVO is a awesome, and cheap AIR cooler.
I actually just turned off Turbo mode in case that boost in frequency was a possible source of this heat. my review here illway1 View Public Profile Find More Posts by illway1 06 Apr 2011 #4 severedsolo Windows 7 Ultimate X64 SP1 3,568 posts Norfolk UK Quote: Originally Posted by Socket 775, Socket 1156, Socket AM2, Socket AM2+, Socket 1366, Socket AM3, Socket 1155, Socket AM3+, Socket FM1. Before they would go up or down 1 C every now and then, but they are rock solid now. All temps via Temperature Monitor, which is no longer supported, but works on 10.7.5. It dropped to 33 degrees, which is normal for the summer here. click site I tried to keep the Northbridge heatsink below 180 F. 148 F was a relaxing number. You sound like someone who keeps their computer for awhile.

over ambient. The 4670K will heat up under load, particularly if it is overclocked(that is why you bought a "K")The stock cooler may spin up to high rpm's and get noisy under
Why is this? Using the same settings and running a CPU stress test for several minutes:Heatsinks: 38/41 C. Login now. But you've already tried to re-apply the paste, and it didn't work.
I have not changed my fan setup or speed during the temperature change. All rights reserved. It's running at 1250rpm which I thought was at the peak for this HSF, turns out that is the minimum speed. navigate to this website So I've heard.
