I have an older AMD quad in my present box that defaults to 3.0GHz, and I overclocked it to 3.4 and now it runs at 50°C idle. The radiator might not be cooling it sufficiently. After the fix in the video was performed the CPU core temperature dropped from 57 degrees Celsius to 46 degrees Celsius at idle, but that's not all. In general, a desktop should run between 30 and 50 Celcius, and a laptop usually can run up to 70 C, depending on the CPU and the load placed on it.
It's unlikely (but not impossible) that the motherboard sensors are off or defective. C:S is extremely CPU intensive, so temperatures will be higher in that game than almost anything else but you really should try to keep under 60C at all times. Guess I'll have to wait till the weather cools down to play anything remotely demanding. If so, then I stand to be corrected.
