To get both systems to read the drive we suggest formatting it as FAT32 or MS-DOS using the steps mentioned below. Other USB devices work perfectly with my laptop, the only problem is with my Flash drive AND my laptop. How to do ? his comment is here

New SATA cable, switching with another drive in the computer. Leave a comment and let us know what worked for you! Other USB devices like flash drives did connect to this laptop. Allocate it a drive letter higher than M, I used S for seagate, worked a treat for me. try here

Windows Vista and 7 should have no problems reading usb sticks and Xp usually had trouble with larger usb sticks greater than 2gb. It shows healthy but on right clicking, all the options are blocked, except for Help option.
