How big do u recommd that I make the new partition? Windows 7 is fine for its drives. my review here

i got the same problem but i used another XP pro Cd with SP3 and it worked just fine. Ubuntu is on the third (non raid) drive. However the same file is visible in any Linux which can be used to edit it. I use an external DVD drive connected trough the USB port. If I could replace Win7PE and Win8PE with their 64-bit version and use their wim, I wonder whether they can be booted in UEFI mode? Thanks for the feedback.
creating the partition was easy enough, but once i tried to install xp pro on the new partition it loaded drivers and said it was rebooting. I take it you do not know about the ALIGNMENT THAT IS NEEDED TO RUN THEM, AND THAT SINCE XP'S FLOORED FORMATTING AT SECTION 63 ETC. I didn't think I needed to b/c that hard drive did not have an OS on it. VistaBootPro and EasyBCD does not show XP only Windows 7 and the System Reserve.
I did it but I couldn't format the drive C:? Could one use GParted/Knoppix (or another LiveCD) to set that up? I have a new computer with Win 7, followed all the instructions but after reboot the screen only shows Windows 7 and Ramdisk Options.
