it's a lot like buying ram sticks that are not on the supported ram list for your mbod. it's a crap shoot. Kits of 2, 3, 4 sticks etc are supposed to be tested by the manufacturer before shipping to ensure compatibility and even then sometimes you get a bad stick, incompatibility issues, useful reference I havent take out my CPU to check, let me check it out.
