I don't have any floating Nero apps/services running, unless they're running under something else or with a goofy name. So just try sticking a disc in there, let it read it, then eject it. It all started off fine, the drive was recognized... how are you?

Sorry, there was a problem flagging this post. I just ejected a DVD from my drive, and Explorer refreshed and dropped to the next non-drive under My Computer. Microsoft has a knowledge-base entry and Fix-it tool that may help. Ive had by BluRay Drive do that once or twice.
