Asus laptop running with lid closed to external monitor on windows 10. I saw a post on the internet where someone had it set to "Never" but I haven't figured out how to do it yet. Windows 10 Pro on a Dell Latitude E7450 and I was getting annoyed with the fact that this new, week old laptop seemed to not be able to sleep/hibernate properly. Shame to give up, SOLVED for E5540 upgraded to Windows 10: finally downloaded the O2Micro driver from Dell again, but only to start setup and when asked to repair or remove, Sometimes I unplug other devices and the NIC and continue trying until it comes on (interweaving unplugging the power supply). Yes, on E5520 with new Win7 installation both sleep and hibernate failed to wake up, after installing the latest O2 driver from Dell Support both works. I upgraded from to and my problem went away.

Was this answer helpful? The reason I didn't originally include it in the Question text was because I thought this was the default setting. The -12v and -5v reports look suspicious to me; although I googled some other images and others report like this as well. check these guys out You took a ton of stress off my shoulders.

We use encrypted drives and the program Dell Data Protection (DDP) Security Tools is causing this problem, when i uninstall it the problem is gone but we must use it ...
