Cannot Run Windows Update After Windows Reinstall


Windows Update must be started in order to download Windows Updates. I then ran the Package Manager with the command:pkgmgr.exe /n:Windows6.1-KB3102810-x64.xmlShortly after, I got a message that the Package Manager needed to restart the computer - HOORAH!I allowed the system to restart This situation reminded my why I switched to Linux a few years ago. My 3 images I was working with all said that the directory was in use even after I stopped the service and rebooted to delete. weblink

Score 1 Brad T September 19, 2016 3:56:48 PM I tried the solution step by step but no luck on my Acer Aspire One 722 with Windows 7 Premium 64-Bit with IF you do leave the setting at NEVER, Windows Update will no longer be automatic. This will be present towards the end of the log. Ok I gave it a chance but it didn’t do anything, even with the repair tool… anything. Blows my mind Microsoft doesn't update their ISOs on MSDN to at least have Windows Update working.The main trick to get standalone installers working was to disable windows update, so the any other methods i can try?
